I have to admit, the CB-1's are pretty damn good for the price. It's pretty much as good as it is hyped though I'd worry about the longevity of these but then again they're only $63. And I also have to admit the crispness of the guitars in the Krewella's Alive Acoustic version is even more crispier than my SHP-9500's. In comparison on this track, I would say the CB-1's edge out on top as the guitars sound more crispier than the SHP-9500's. Pretty much the test tracks on my Spotify Premium account sound insanely good. It even handles Chris Cornell's (RIP) voice in "Like a Stone" very well. The HE-350's had shrieking trebles and a difficult time handling this track. That Wild Arms opening track though, sexy as hell with the picking and whistling.
I would say the best headphone for under $100 easily if you only consider it for sound quality. Definitely don't pass it up and run an AMP+DAC combo if you can.

6EQUJ5Well, I just found the CB-1's weakness quickly. They don't sound as good for Rap/Hip Hop style music. Listening to Fetty Wap's Trap Queen made my ears screech! My THX-00 Purple Hearts handle Rap/Hip Hop a lot better. The CB-1's handle most Rap okay but some tracks are just overpowering.

6EQUJ5I agree these don't represent hip hop very well. But damn it if they don't sound amazing on everything else.
