MikeJamrockI have the new design instead of this old design. It can use cartridges or eyedropper mode. Good portable pen for short notes. Old design with threads for posting is better because the cap pops off easily in the new design. So this is still a good pen to support.

yeastThe photos don't seem like they have threads for posting though...?
Edit: Ok nvm, I figured it out. I think.

EtrnlzPhnxLook closely at the enlarged photo for color options. There are threads at the end for posting.

MikeJamrockI have one of the original designs. It is the FPN LE. I got it with a Fine nib but replaced that with an italic nib. It looks great. It is small and light when capped. Truly a "pocket pen." When posted, the cap screws onto the end of the barrel very securely, making it a "normal" size pen for writing.
I have used the pen as an eye dropper and with a mini-cartridge. Both modes work very well. The italic nib is quite crisp with good thick/thin line differentiation yet writes very smoothly. My italic nib is tipped steel. My recollection is that it is 1.1mm - a bit wider than ideal, for me. The current italic nib is 0.9mm, which is better.
In sum, the Passaporto is a terrific writer. Mine is very well made. At the current Massdrop price, it's a bargain. If we get the lowest price, it is a steal.

TSherbsCheck out the nib size poll Massdrop ran before setting up this 'drop' (https://www.massdrop.com/vote/stipula-passaporto-original-design-exclusive---vote-for-nib-sizes) - the options offered were fine, medium and "Italic (0.9mm)".
