I am not familiar with steel nibs, the color of gold threw me off.
How much flex is there?

SanjLittle. There is still some flex, but it flexes less than a gold nib. You won't get much line variation and there is definitely a sweet spot. A much smaller sweet spot than that of a gold nib. It might take some getting used to, but stainless steel nibs still (generally) write well. Better than "iridium" nibs.
