Stipula pens are poorly constructed and terrible writers, scratchy, spotty, and overpriced. I've owned four of them including this model and been disappointed by every one. The clog when left untended for even the shortest shelf time. I would recommend Waterman, Parker, Montblanc, Pelikan, all over a stipula.
Don't see the point of this drop especially for folks interested in fountain pens. This fountain pen is available online easily at$69-$75 at various authorized dealers and also on eBay. The price of the fountain pen at the lowest price in this drop will be 74.99.
dbhatiaThe listing clearly states $74.99 includes a bottle of Monteverde black ink. That ink typically runs $12.50 a bottle making the pen $62.49. That's all with free shipping on this drop. Most pen retailers charge shipping as well. So, if one were interested in this pen it's a pretty good drop. I'm on the fence for an italic since I can't decide if I'd be OK with the grip.
While I can't speak directly of the quality on this pen, all of the Stipula pens I own are of high quality and I've had absolutely no issues with any of them. The only reason I'm not in on this drop is the lack of a titanium flex nib. Just thought I'd clarify in case my comment dissuaded anyone from a purchase.
Am I reading this correctly? Currently the pricing on the right hand side is $52.99 (ie: 2 comitted), is the +30$ on top of $52.99 just to get the fountain pen? Or is the price for the fountain pen by default?
Hi Folks!
We just added another drop point to see if we can drum up some sales. The BP + ink refills is $3 less expensive and the FP nibs + Monteverde FP Ink is $5 less expensive.
Cheers!
Andy
andySo at the current price it's 52.99+30.00 = 82.99 for the fountain pen. (74.99 at the lowest drop).
Also having trouble finding any reviews of the Speed Model T, and seems like any Model T reviews focuses on the Titanium nib, which is not offered in this massdrop (making it well... a stylish version of my Pilot Metropolitans).
Also there was a forum post saying it's not a real piston filling pen, the rear cap just turns a converter on the inside.
Seeing plenty of pictures, just not a lot of reviews or testimonials about it, and most of the comments if any are uncertain or iffy about it.
