"High-carbon stainless steel" - what steel exactly? Hardness?

OzzzIt's listed as "Bdz1". From my resarch it sounds like it's very similar to the more commonly known AUS-8 which is /was used for a long time by coldsteel and sog. It's a good, but not particularly high-tech or fancy steel. It's not going to be as hard and wear resistant as something like s30v, sg2, or even 154cm, but it should be easier to sharpen and more chip resistant. At best it will be comparable, but not better than the steel in a fibrox or entry-level German knife.
