What's different in hardware kit for extra $25 and do I need one to mount the camera? It says installation kit is included so not sure if I need hardware kit or not.

talhashahHard*wire* kit. Not hardware. Hardwire. It comes with all the mounting stuff but if you want to hardwire it into your fuse panel, you will need extra stuff.

talhashahthe hardwire kit allows you to wire it up to the fuse box in your car. the bonus is that you can hide the long power wire along the panels of your windshield down to the fuse box. otherwise, you have to use the cigarette power adaptor and you'll have an ugly wire hanging from your dashcam.
