This drop looks pretty appealing, but as i have a 93 ford ranger and am not able to wire this into my fuse box, how is it as far as a battery killer. Also sdhc cards are only up to 32gb. For more you need an sdxc card (i.e you cant get a 128gb sdhc card like in the product description). I looked it up and it does take sdxc cards.

garthvater111Indeed it takes SDXC cards. I just bought two 64GB ones, and like I said earlier, I have seen forum posts stating the latest firmware now supports up to 200GB cards.
As far as battery killer, I wouldn't know. I mean, it's a capacitor camera, meaning it has no battery, so it would depend on how your car handles things after the ignition is off. For example, my car cuts off power to all accessory outlets after a couple minutes, so I can keep the camera connected 24/7 without worrying about draining the car's battery (camera hasn't had any issue powering off from cutoff instead of using the power button). If your car does not do that, you may need a power control kit. It'd be nice if this drop added a description and pictures of the hardwiring kit, because I'm not sure it is the same thing. What I'm talking about is this:
