Can the camera be removed while leaving the mount on the windshield or does it have to stay in the vehicle all the time?

Can I buy a separate rear cam and connect it to this? I'm assuming that's the purpose of the "IN" port.

Does this cam use a standard USB to Micro USB power cord or does it have a dedicated 12V power cord? (I have an older car with just 2 12V sockets.) Thanks!

Edit: See below for comparison to A118C. A118C seems like a way better value to me at $60.

bigbadbradThe A118C is a chinese clone of this product, which uses a cheaper Aptina AR0330 sensor compared to the street guardian's Sony IMX322. Technical Data Sheets: Aptina 0330 https://dashcamtalk.com/cams/Aptina%20AR0330%20Data%20Sheet.zip Sony IMX322 https://dashcamtalk.com/cams/lk-7950-wd/Sony_IMX322.pdf Comparison: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZZw28Vz3i0 and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjU-4pJhACg
