Not sure it is fair to call Sturmanskie a "joke" or "crap." For those only looking at only these comments i would urge you to do some other research.
It is not an apples to apples to compare these to the base Vostoks. They share a movement but not much else. And Sturmanskie uses the more refined and optomized versions of the movements from Vostok.
If you think the watch is not worth the $300 then that is a personal decision. I own several Sturmanskies and have been very happy with them. Maybe I am a "fanboy" and so be it. I have met the people who run this company at the Basel watch fair. They are good people who care about making great watches in Russia, which isn't as easy as it once was.
We throw words around like "crap" and "joke" but these are real people behind these that take pride in their work.
Dash30dashSorry, but "take pride in their work" doesn't mean the end product is a quality watch.
Telling them point blank, that their product is crap, should inspire them to do better job, and make better quality watches.
