Pity no Treelines included. I wear mine pretty frequently and I could use a second pair. Sunski are good people though. Excellent customer support for a really unlikely issue I had with my most recent purchase.
So, just to confirm, can any style/lense combination be chosen? I really like these on the website (Dipsea
Tortoise Amber), are these available for the drop?
These fit really well, quickly became my go-to shades. The right arm on mine just snapped @ the temple this AM when putting them on. Will Sunski replace under warrantee? No abuse at all, just put them on.
"DESIGNED in California" Oh that's awesome!
But I do wonder if this too would be true:
"We like to say 'Designed in California' because it helps sell the brand as American. You see--the IDEA to bulk-order cheap Sunglasses from China--was created right here in San Francisco!"
Backed the initial run on kickstarter and fell in love with theminitially. For $20ish you got a cheap pair of fun looking polarized lenses. After a year or two the coating on the lens went haywire and they replaced. A+ Customer support. My only gripe is that the company itself seems to be moving away from the initial 'cheap and good' line to this niche 'restarted brand' market. Long story short, I buy cheaters on amazon now and am just as happy at a $5 per glasses price point (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NPC1XJ2/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1) --Apparently they rebranded, probably for the better "Cheaters" was a weird name for sunglasses.
slumberlustYeah, this was my very first Kickstarter, I'm surprised to see how pricey they are now. Wish I had asked customer support to replace the coating, didn't know that was an option :(
I just received my Kent Wang Fleming and tried on the Sunski glasses at REI. Kent Wang's are higher quality. Nicer frames and locking hinges. The Sunski glasses are very average quality. However, lifetime warranty and $5 for a pair of replacement lenses make it great knock around glasses.
I love my pair - original frame with blue lenses. Plenty comfortable to wear all day in the water. Have no complaints about lenses. The opposite really. After two years I beat mine up a little, and was going to buy a new pair - but they sell new lenses for just $5! https://store.sunski.com/collections/lens-kits
Lifetime warranty on frame and inexpensive new lenses? I have a pair of sunglasses for life now. Have recommended to all coworkers, and now, you all.
