What is the difference between the L-style and the Class 15? Is it specific for a certain machine or is it that one has 80 yards vs 70 yards?

CBM5504L style is a larger sized bobbin and different machines use different sizes. Class 15 is smaller, so of course it holds less. You really should read your manual to be sure which size your machine needs.
