Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

Can't wait to buy another pair or two as gifts. I think in part to the success and popularity of this drop and the positive publicity it has created, the price around the internet for these headphones has increased. They are absolutely worth $50-$60, but knowing you can get them for $30 makes it well worth the wait.
These are hands down the absolute best value headphones for both gaming and music listening. They sound well above their price bracket, and you need to spend $150+ to really get something that is a noticeable improvement in audio quality.
These headphones are not colored, they are incredibly neutral, and have insane clarity. This is both good and bad. If there are imperfections in the mastering or audio quality, it will be abundantly clear. As long as you have good audio files and the song is mastered well, then these are an absolute home run because you are hearing the songs exactly as the artist intended you to hear them, which is what I really prefer.
Gaming is great. They have a massive sound stage which enables you to hear where enemies are located in relation to you. The bass is not too boomy, so when an explosion goes off near you, it doesn't quite put you there in the game, but you have to have a really expensive pair of headphones to get the "Michael Bay" effect.
Also, amping these via FiiO E10K / SMSL SD793-II brought these to the next level. Turning these up to 50-60% made them so loud I couldn't think straight and it brought the bass to the forefront when before it was more subdued. These headphones do not need amping, but I decided to buy an amp for them anyways looking towards my next headphone purchase.
Anyways, really looking forward to when these are available again through Massdrop.
