May have to do with their compass accuracy? Being on my wrist, I am probably likely to put the face of the watch vertical (watch is up to my face) and then get annoyed that the compass is wrong.
Edit: "Compass displays bearing and direction of travel; bubble indicates level compass position for reading accuracy within 3 degrees or better"

dummeysorry but that is just retarded, if one is that daft to not know to have it horizontal well ... they don't need to be using a compass lol. I wonder if its removable? I'm guessing not, as it'd be to easy to rub it off. a bubble level on a compass watch lmfao. wow seen it all.
as far as accuracy THEY ALL say within 3 degrees, and others don't have a bubble level , I just can't get over that. wow.
they just had some decent compass on here did they have a bubble level ? erm no lol

Stone_MaNThat is a tiny bubble level to help improve the device's measurements.

Stone_MaNThey are and were used by active military personnel, mountaineering types, etc. In fact, I first saw one on the wrist of a US Army Ranger. I asked about the bubble. He said they are very sensitive, it is more difficult to level it on your wrist than in your hand, and described scenarios when you might not even know which way is up! In other words, it is not "retarded" and the people that depend on it are not "daft" – it is highly functional and there for a reason.

Stone_MaN"Retarded"? Not them... even on flat terrain it is tough to have your watch perfectly horizontal to aquire accurate reading. But the full use of the bubble comes when you are in an incline, without visual references... then you would definitely need the "retarded" bubble.
