Finally got around to setting mine up (everything set up so it's at ear level). Sound blaster z spdif out > modi 2 > magni 2 > Swan M10... First off, the speakers are smaller than I expected but look very nice. The white faces of the speakers have some sparkle to them which at first I was uncertain of but it's really not that noticeable and they look quite nice either way. These speakers are very clear sounding so far. I keep windows volume and the swans volume at 100% and adjust through my amp. With everything on and no music playing there's no noticeable hum/static with the speakers. As for the sound: the treble goes to 17Khz and the bass down to 40hz. With the sub woofer knob turned off the speakers sound very hollow and thin. For my preferences, I had to turn the knob all the way up to get a full, satisfying sound. Even with the sub turned all the way up, the treble and mids are very pronounced and the bass never oversteps its bounds. As I turned the volume up on the speakers they really come alive and shine. The strength of these speakers is definitely its clarity in the mids. Vocals are always at the forefront of these speakers and while I prefer listening to my music at higher volumes, at low volumes, the sound is balanced and clear. As for cons: depending on your preferences, the sub woofer may not be enough. You can always add one into the mix if necessary. Also, the first time I turned on the speakers, there was static noise coming from all speakers. Adjusting volume did nothing and I ended up turning them off, letting it sit for a bit, and then turning it back on and all was well. Furthermore, the left speaker once started playing with a bunch of static for no apparent reason. Turning off my amp did nothing to help. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting rca's and powering the unit on and off to no avail. Eventually the static went away and has yet to return. I suspect these speakers might be very sensitive to electrical sources around them (although moving my dac/amp away from them didn't help). Overall I'm very happy with my purchase and I'll update if the sound changes at all after 50 hours of use.
*update 3/13/15: That dreaded static noise is back in the left speaker and I know it's something with the speakers because I can disconnect it from all sources expect for where it's powered and the noise persists (this is with the volume knob on the sub turned all the way down). I'm going to try moving them around and see if I can fix this. If now, I'll have to see about getting a replacement =( ... Just tried swapping the speakers' rca cables around and now the static is on the right speaker, so it seems there's something faulty with the Left speaker out rca on the sub. =/

SpookyCThat's interesting as the radio interference I noticed (while present in both speakers) was prominent in the left speaker, I put some ferrite cores on my cables just to see and it didn't help at all, so don't waste your time/money doing that.
