I bought these a while back and these systems were being manufactured with a known defect for a while. There can be a persistent hum from the speakers that doesn't go away. Dealing with HiVi to get it fixed is next to impossible because they have zero functional customer service in the states. The company I bought them from Audio Insider was the only dealer in the US at the time (3 years ago or so) and he "repaired" them by not doing anything and just sent them back. It took several times of sending them back and forth before he actually upgraded the internal components and fixed the hum. Super shady dealer (he's since changed his name to Chane Music Cinema but it's still him) and HiVi wasn't much better in dealing with them.
Still stalking, I see. Your note is simply false and has been for the last half dozen times you've anonymously posted it in this thread.

JonLaneIt bears repeating every time this drop goes up. You falsely claimed you repaired these speakers not once, but twice, before finally upgrading the internal electronics that you admitted were known to be faulty. Truly abysmal customer experience dealing with then Audio Insider, now Chane Music.
You've been stalking and threatening us for five years and you have your facts wrong.

JonLaneRelaying my experience about this product which is only furnished and serviced by you on a site that I frequent regardless, is neither threatening nor stalking.
Then we look forward to not being followed around endlessly - including in this thread - and being called anonymously and threatened. We'll continue to concentrate on serving many thousands of customers with excellent customer service throughout a 14 year program of excellence. As designers, manufacturers, authorized exclusive importers, and service providers we have hundreds of positive public reviews, endless customer recommendations, and we consistently both develop top-ranked, category-leading products and provide product favorites, all of which we service, many times well beyond warranty expiration. Our service is quick and personal, and we absolutely value our customers. Whoever you may be, you have your facts wrong, friend.

JonLaneJon, your service didn't fix the problem not once, but twice. You claimed it was fixed, then you claimed it had no issue although it still had a prominent hum not just during playback. Then after I sent the speakers back for repair the THIRD time you acknowledged it was a known issue with the boards in these speakers at the the time. You also refused to pay s/h to rectify the situation. I found you to be neither personal nor expedient in your honoring the warranty, rather you were continually dishonest and abusive. Sharing that experience is hardly threatening.
@JonLane : FYI, your responses are coming across as less than professional. I likely would have passed by an not really registered the complaint about your company without your responses. Given the tone between the two, I'm more inclined to believe @oldgarbagebags .
Some constructive criticism: rethink your PR strategy. The go-to that looks good for a company is an apology about how service was done, and a way to contact you directly to resolve the issue. If you don't want to do that, ignore it. Picking public fights with real customers or trolls isn't a good strategy for building faith in a brand.
doublepedaldylanI've posted our *actual* service policy and record at least a few times before - it is at least as solid and responsive as the industry offers - and with it in mind I do not disagree with you. However, in 35 years I've consciously made one exception to it. If you'd like the back-story, please reach me offline. I'm more than happy to cover all points.

JonLaneWow man. Do you have any professionalism in you AT ALL? I would never buy anything from you, or anything from anywhere where I had to deal with you for service. If this guy is truly slandering you, like you claim, and this is all lies on his part. Then you would have taken him to court already to make him stop. Instead,(since the truth hurts), of accepting the fact that you screwed the guy over and he's upset. Instead of trying to make it right. You get on a public forum and fight with him like a child (or a President). What good could come out of doing that? None that I can see. Plenty bad though. Unbelievable! SMH!!! And yes I fully believe you screwed the guy, and didn't fix his product right. FULLY!
