wow can't believe these are still coming back on massdrop. bought these for my girlfriend last year and we ended up moving in together--they still act as our main speaker system for the living room/projector. It's way too big a space for what they're designed for, but they're still doing a bang-up job. Volume-wise they'll easily fill up the room without distortion and don't sound half bad. (That's kind of an understatement--they will definitely be running too loud at around 50% on the knob) I'm not gonna say "amazing" or "great" because I used to run full sized speakers out of a big receiver when I lived in the suburbs. These do have fantastic shape and detail for the layperson. More pleasing than analytical but I wouldn't go as far as to say "warm". Gonna be above and beyond what most people are accustomed to. Way better than any Altec Lansing or Klipsch stuff you'll buy in this price range, that's for sure. $90 used to be a crazy steal but it looks like they're coming back to the market? I see them on Amazon. Used to really have to hunt for these, they were not in stock anywhere for a few years.

Ditto on the radio/interference stuff but I live in the middle of Brooklyn and it's generally very faint, only hear it sometimes when I work from home in the middle of the day. If it was sitting on your desk it'd probably be a different story--but this is true of even higher end monitors. I worked in a professional Post-Production house and those guys would just wrap the near-field monitors at their editing bays in black-wrap foil to try and stop the interference. Good times.
The only thing that ain't so great about using your internally powered 2.1 speaker system for your PS4/projector setup is..... No remote. So yeah. That still feels pretty collegy. Look at the shelf though! How am I ever gonna fit a receiver in there? Answer. I'm not. I'll take the exercise I guess.
