I even found one for free shipping at this link: http://www.coupons.com/view/GearBest?d=274491 Doesn't anyone at Massdrop Google a product before they set the price?

VitalDid you try the free shipping code? I tried several of their coupons just for laughs and although they discount the order 8%, none of the free shipping links work. So, unless you can figure out how to get free shipping on those speakers, MD still has a lower price.

AilsDid you check to see how much the shipping would cost? In addition to that Google them and there are several other stores selling these speakers at or below the Massdrop price. From what I gleaned they are made in China; when I think of great speakers I always think of China...not. VitalThis source has been debunked so many times already... This product is a bona fide 40#, $349 MSRP item. Nobody's selling them for half that and sending them from China for free.

VitalVirtually all popularly-priced A/V is made offshore to specification. As for random Google hits, they're using the brand and model for clicks. Obviously nobody is willing to offer this model below landed cost, and therefore they don't have them. No product, and certainly no service. Massdrop ships from US stock and offers the full US warranty, plus parts and service.

VitalDid you actually try to check them out? No you did not, I did and the shipping was over $100.00 with no ability to change that. Customer Service clearly states they will NOT ship these for free. Please stop.
Also you are completely ignorant on the quality of Hi-Vi and their products. It is a chinese based company to begin with and anyone who owns a set of Swan speakers will tell you they are not poor quality build or sound.

AilsAils...you are not one of my parents, so please don't tell me what to do. Thank you! Did I say they were poor quality? Did I say that they sound bad? I don't think so. I merely stated that when I think of great speakers I don't think of China. Perhaps that's because I remember speakers like Altec Lansing's Voice of the Theaters. Another great company is JBL(JBL stands for James B. Lansing). JBL's consumer level speaker aren't the same ever since Harman bought up JBL. You probably wouldn't know a great speaker because you have never seen one. Ever heard of Genesis speakers? Calling someone that you have never spoken with or met ignorant is just plain sad. Do you even know what the word means? I have been involved with High end Audio and Video my entire life, and I am betting I am quite a bit older than you. If you really want to learn about speakers here is a link that you might want to check out: http://www.avsforum.com/forum/89-speakers/ The HiVi M50W speakers have very good specs on paper, and may have excellent sound, I wouldn't know because I have never heard them. AilsHey, that's me! I'm Internet famous now.
The best part is Gearbest blasts all over their website that Shipping is ALWAYS free! Except, you know, when it's not, and instead costs over $100. After much research, I determined that Massdrop had the best price, and placed my order on the last drop, but then cancelled after they announced the delay. Hopefully this next drop will fare better.
Incidentally, I went with Audiengine A2+ instead, but I recently returned them as they were too thin and cold at higher volumes. Audioengine A5s will be here in two days...
