Combining the beauty and simplicity of vintage watches, Szanto has crafted a range of timepieces inspired by designs from yesteryear—but what stands out most is their solid construction and size. This 46-millimeter beast is made from stainless steel with a thick leather band Read More
SzantoTimeBecause almost any other movement would do this cool design more justice. It’s a $10 dollar movement!! It’s just my preference and opinion only.
Szanto was founded and is owned by the founder and owner of Luninox, Barry Cohen, a California resident. So the guy has a watch background. I guess he wanted to do some cheaper, non-Swiss products.
Is the bezel metal? I've never seen the numbers and lines protrude from the bezel face as on this watch, as opposed to being inscribed into the bezel face. It seems that the machining of metal that way would be more difficult, not less, and result in a high price. But for plastic it would be cheaper to make, since you'd be inscribing the mold for the plastic. Or is the bezel made of metal, but not made by machining, but rather by casting? In which case it couldn't be stainless steel, could it?
Mine looks nice, but it was dead on arrival. I've left a messages to the "Help Centre" but got no reply what so ever.
So it looks like i'm going to have to get the credit card company to do a claw back.
Hey all, a couple of quick notes. It may be odd to see leather on a dive watch, but this leather is waterproof and will not crack after getting wet; in fact, it should get softer as it is exposed to daily wear and moisture due to the treatment.
The superluminova on the hands and indices is bright and the solid feel of the watch speaks to its nature as a tool.
Does anyone have actual experience holding one of these? How solid/cheap do they feel? I like the photos, but that does not mean anything. So many photos look great, but the watches are terrible, and they you have Orient's absolutely garbage photos for actually good watches.
Are these in line with an SKX or Ray 2 (of course cheaper because of quartz), or do they feel like a $100 watch?
