A Real Multi-Tool
This looks like a knife, but it really is an auto rescue tool that happens to have a knife blade attached. The T3 has a seatbelt cutter, a flashlight, a window glass punch, and a 440C blade. This is an extremely handy tool to keep in your car for emergencies, and having the right tool does make all the difference.
Worst Case Scenario
Even if emergency situations never happen to you, they can happen to people around you. Breaking a window is often a dangerous and risky prospect, since broken glass can cut so easily. Using a tool specifically designed for this purpose can keep you from making extra work for paramedics in the event that you need to do so. In addition, the hook blade is very effective for cutting seat belts, and is way less scary than a knife in the event that you have to cut someone else's seat belt.
Be Prepared
We haven't even gotten to the flashlight and the knife blade yet! The flashlight is relatively low power, but it will certainly do in a pinch. Any light source when it's pitch black and your battery is dead is incredibly useful to have. The blade is a 440C blade with a small serrated section. 440C is a decent steel grade, and it has a reasonable carbon content and a Rockwell hardness rating of 59-60. It also comes with a very nice sheath that is constructed from firm nylon fabric.
