I see this as a huge insult to pen enthusiasts.

The pen is airtight and it never dries out! It's a great choice for people who want a new twist on a pen and I think the white would definitely be a great choice for wedding receptions (or any reception in general.)

I like the peacock feather, even though my cats would probably try to kill it. Pretty! I don't mind so much the "refill" being a disposable pen, but I would think that being what it is, price point might be a bit lower than it is.
Wait, wait, is this from the same folks who brought us the WINE pen that doesnt work with WINE? They need a new COMMUNITY: HALF-BAKED IDEAS.

Unfortunately, the feather seems more appealing than the writing utensil -- the merlot's my fav, and I only have a teenager to worry about at home! Though I'm truly sorry poor Will Shakespeare has to claim yet another abomination in his name.
But if a practical but eyecatching fountain pen with stand is needed, look no further than Platinum's Desk Pen and Pen Stand. It comes in black and red I believe with a Japanese XF, F or M nib. I bought the black with med nib, which writes a true western fine, in order to use their awesome carbon black ink without damaging my good pens. The pen cost me $12! It's a type of disposable, and the goodlooking stand prices at about $15-20 depending on retailer. The A----- sells it as do a few online pen stores like Pen Chalet and Goulet Pens.
To Massdrop Admin, please take us seriously as consumers of writing instruments and accessories. Whimsical is welcome but not that wretched kitsch. And I was just ogling that newish Taccia monochrome fountain pen .... this feather thing makes me wonder about the company but everyone gets it wrong sometime.
This is brilliant for those writers who own cats and really don't want to write at all
I would have thought Massdrop knew their writing community better than this.
I think this was intended as a belated April Fools gag and not as a serious drop. I was probably taking myself a bit too seriously when this dropped, but the drought that's been plaguing Writing recently didn't leave much room for humor. I'm pretty sure that @Liz & Co. are working on something tasty for us.

TherocYes....you are right. We'll stay positive. You hit the nail on the head with the word "drought".

For the kitschy quotient alone I might consider this as a gift for a couple of people, but not if the entire pen has to be replaced.
Maybe if it was a cart pen, or the add-on pen was a standard pen that could easily detach the feather from.
Of course, in this house the quill woul last about five minutes before one of the cats recognized prey.

This is, by a pretty wide margin, the ugliest pen I've seen.
