Do I Need to Lube My Keyboard Switches?

Today while playing a game with my tada68 the escape key started inputting ~ and then some other keys started registering the wrong characters. after some random button mashing everything returned to normal.
has anyone else had this happen?
you run the dl and then hit every key you have and it tells you how it read everything
