ChuckDeeIt's not the same. I want Miami without the anti-biosis coating, and the Amazon has anti-biosis...

dPunisherI was replying to @BiggestMac figuring that if he wanted orange/black (which had the coating here) it wouldn't be that big a difference to him. So in general you're correct, but specifically perhaps not.

ChuckDeeThe description on Amazon still says that it has the Nano Anti-biosis coating. There's no where to get any of Tai-Hao's keycaps without the coating other than massdrop.

dPunisherIs the coating really that bad?

XyverzLook on the prior page for a bit from @sebas86pl. And I've seen that consistently. Some people say that the coating can be removed easily, but I've seen a lot that say the opposite. And that's the reason I'm torn. I love the colors - the orange/black, the black/red, the yellow/black. But am I willing to take the chance that it will be as bad as so many people say? I haven't decided. And I'm not sure that I'm willing to take a $35 chance to find out.

dPunisher93% isopropyl alcohol, soak for 15 minutes at a time, brush with old toothbrush, was the recipe relayed on Reddit.

kschangDoesn't work. Seems like it does for about a week, but it's not gone. I've put mine through six alcohol baths with scrubbings. STAY AWAY from the coated keys, and maybe tai hao will stop making them altogether.
