pro 80 was a famous chinese made close backheadphone once, my pals has play mods on taskstart headphone parts for a while, quality are reliablea and sound ok, not very impressive. But if you are really look for the best sound quality under 100usd , go for open back headphone shp9500 at 65usd . (i had a pair of k7xx, shuer 1440, hd600,q701, akg 240m,etc). Philips really created a monster price for a 200usd headphone sound quality.

zedd722If you love more bass ,sound accuracy and better detail go with shp9500(i only had experience with w5000 and ad900, no A series experiences). For ath i have in ear only(ckw1000 anv), because i dont feel ath has a good balance headphone with deserved sound quaility at the prince, also make man sound like a woman on vocal, bass are lack of deepth. Recently good stuff like msr7 has change my impression of ath, since so many pro has told me they use msr7 when they left their recording room. (very popular in asia now)
