This do-it-yourself kit includes almost everything you’ll need to assemble this entry-level buggy. Opt for the bundle, and you’ll have everything you need to build and drive this dirt-track classic.
One of the first buggies to use a double-wishbone suspension, Tamiya’s Neo Scorcher was a hit on the dirt track when it was released in the 1980s. Today, this 1/10-scale vehicle is built with the TT-02B chassis, offering stronger plastic, longer suspension arms, and buggy bumpers, all of which contribute to the increased durability of this next-generation buggy. Still, it’s as easy to assemble as it was nearly 30 years ago, catering to entry-level enthusiasts who want to build a car themselves.
Note: This drop is for the Tamiya 1/10 Neo Scorcher TT02B Kit (see main photo), which does not include a radio system, servo, battery, or battery charger. At checkout, you’ll have the option of upgrading to the Full Bundle (+ $85), which includes all of the aforementioned components.
Though the standard kit doesn’t come with a radio system, servo, battery, or battery charger, we’ve assembled a bundle that does. The 2.4-gigahertz radio system by Fly Sky offers three channels and an LED display, while the Futaba S3010 Standard High-Torque BB Servo, which is fitted with nylon gears, ensures a high-current draw from your batteries. Also included: a 110 AC/DC peak charger and a 7.2-volt six-cell Ni-Cd battery offering 1,800 milliamp hours.
