From narrow city streets to up-close portraits, the Tamron SP 24–70mm F/2.8 Di VC USD G2 lens gives you plenty of versatility without the bulk. The optical design incorporates two extra-refractive elements, three low-dispersion elements, three glass-molded aspherical elements, and one hybrid aspherical element to reduce aberrations throughout the zoom range. Each element is applied with eBAND and BBAR coatings are applied to each element to control flares and ghosting. A USM autofocus motor provides quick, quiet, and precise focusing performance in still and video mode. Finally, to further minimize the appearance of camera shake, the lens comes with vibration compensation that’s effective up to five stops.
