I recently purchased TAMRON SP 24–70MM F/2.8 DI VC USD G2 LENS from drop.com a few weeks ago. It's the same deal with 6 year USA warranty. I was able to register the lens with Tamron USA and receive a full 6 year warranty confirmation email. I think you don't have to worry about the warranty on this lens.
