I wouldn't recommend this, Tascam's driver support is terrible and I couldn't get any mic inputs working consistently on Windows 8.1 or 10, ended up getting an Allen & Heath USB Mixer which works perfectly.

Anyone know what to do to make the mic inputs work on Windows 8.1? Already updated to latest firmware/driver and sound settings picks up the mic input, but there's no sound .
Or rather, before making myself look more stupid, for the XLR/TRS combo inputs on the front, will the TRS work for mics as well? And if not, will an TRS->XLR adapter fix the issue?

Great news group! We’re happy to report that almost all of the orders have been shipped out from our warehouse and are on the way to you! The two remaining orders are packed up and should go out tomorrow. Please allow 24-48 hours for tracking to get into the shipper's system and start updating.

Great news group! The vendor has let us know that the group's order was picked up and is on its way to our warehouse now. Based on the tracking provided these are scheduled to come in 2/16. Our warehouse team has been forwarded tracking info and will be standing by, ready to get these packed up and turned around as soon as they come in.
Sometimes shipments get delayed en route, not to worry as we will keep the group posted throughout the process and notify you all if anything causes delay.

Quick update for the group. We are in contact with the vendor and awaiting updated shipment estimates from them. We have a call scheduled first thing tomorrow morning and should get a bit more visibility in regards to when we can expect these in our warehouse. We will update the group as soon as these are on the way.

Thanks again for joining the drop with the community. We submitted the group’s order with the vendor for the TASCAM US-2x2 Audio Interface shortly after the drop ended and they have begun preparing it for shipment.
Once the group’s order is ready at the vendor’s location, they will send the bulk shipment to our fulfillment center where we’ll break it up into individual orders and ship them off to you as soon as possible.
The moment we receive confirmation regarding the shipping schedule from the vendor, we will provide you all with updated information on the status of your package.
Expect an update from us on 2/10 or sooner.

Does this have any internal storage like can it be used as an audio recording device portably? Or does it have to plug into a computer?

ixoIt only works when connected to a computer. If you want to use something independently, check out the Tascam DR-40 that is also on drop now. I have its younger brother, the DR-05, and I can attest to the quality of Tascam (and all Teac brands) products.
