It seems based on the feedback I've read about "bespoke" services like TruMaker and BookATailor is the quality of the fabrics that are offered at their base prices. When using premium cloth, the price per shirt rises substantially, in the $250 range. So this shirt may be a good option with the idea of having it taken in by a tailor, if the sizing of these seems problematic.

banzaiburgerYou are not looking in the right places. The best deals in bespoke shirts with great quality fabrics are to be found locally in Bangkok, Hong Kong and in India. However, most of these places don't do online MTO. You have to visit in person, but will end up with a fit that beats any online MTO shop. For an online MTO option, however, with high quality fabrics at reasonable prices check out www.dragoninside.com

BradSI've talked with them and it seems unlikely. But let's keep this thread focused on the product on hand :)

If I'm local, would I be able to exchange if the sizing isn't quite right when it arrives?

Sleeves too long. I'm a medium with 32.5 inch arms.

The lack of sleeve lengths is a deal breaker for me.

Kind of ludicrous to claim a tailored fit with the waist as wide as the chest in a size 46. To provide me with a tailored fit I would require a size 45 in the chest and a size 40 in the waist. At this price level, the much better and more satisfactory option is to go bespoke in my experience.

Very nice looking shirt. How is this better than, say, a Brooks Brothers OCBD?

enthI think they're both solid choices. To me, BB is better for more formal, conservative dressing. The slimmer, shorter, more youthful design of this one make it better untucked over jeans than tucked into slacks with a tie. Both made in the USA, both good. Just depends what you want.

Are the letter (S,M,L) sizes standard? I'm not good with evaluating sizes. I always buy small, for suits I get a 36 chest. Not sure if American sizes are same with Australia ones.

ZaenilleCheck out the sizing chart provided, as they give real measurements.

ZaenilleI would refer to their sizing chart to be sure. Assuming you're an average height for someone with a 36 chest, you should get the 36.

As someone who's lived in San Francisco for a few years, it's been awesome watching Taylor Stitch grow in to the great company they are, and I'm very excited to have them here!
TS has some great pieces, and this oxford is their most popular. The small design details, fit, construction and material quality, and Californian provenance make it a big step up from a similar garment from a big chain store.

We could definitely do that in the future, but for our first run we wanted to offer their most popular series of shirts, which are these three. If this drop goes well we can definitely expand into other options!
I suppose 'casual' is relative, but I consider this shirt to be fairly casual (as far as button-ups go). Here's one of their pics:

IanAndersonYep indeed, I think in the parlance and style of business wear, it's definitely considered casual. My initial comment sounds misleading, I'm more into darker and more embellished shirts, even for work. :D
