When someone says "aerospace-grade" it means the product is heavily overpriced, and they just can't make any meaningful excuse to justify that. This is true for "tactical" in many cases too.
RayFDepends on how it differs from other grades of toilet paper. Like alloys. If it's more suitable for my purposes , as 6061 (Aerospace grade) aluminum often is, I may well be willing to pay more.
Is that a strange concept to you?
ToxicAerospace grade aluminum and titanium are the most commonly used alloys, respectively, because the same properties that make them good for the Aerospace industry make them good for other uses as well. What's the problem with that? Are you a metallurgy hipster or something? Grade 5 titanium used to be cool, but it's totally played out now.
DaedGrade 5 titanium is known for its strength(not hardness) and extreme temperatures resistance. None of these properties will be exploited while using this pen.
I like titanium and I have 10+ titanium pens. I just say that they are using "aerospace-grade" term misleadingly. As if "non-aerospace-grade" would be worse for this application. And that is used to justify $100 price.
MD had drops for excellent titanium pens for only $25, which were made in USA(consider labor cost) by a private person in a small batch(meaning it's relatively expensive to make compared to mass-produced model).
