I am all for fidget toys, I have a top on my desk, and carry a begleri as part of my EDC. But, as a wearer of mechanical watches, this is one I can't get behind. The idea of carrying a RE magnet that close to a watch is just asking for trouble.

MTB2017True...but that would probably mess with a phone, or a computer. especially with a HDD

Arker_1Magnets don't affect phones or computers unless you try very hard. I carry magnets with me to class, some of which are 10 lbs+ pull force(strong, small neodymium magnets that are .25 in / .635 cm in diameter) and have them near my phone a decent amount. Just to verify I just stuck a stack of 5 to my Galaxy S6 and it did nothing to hinder the use. As for HDD, they have a strong magnet inside them already so as long as you don't stick a super strong magnet directly to it there isn't a worry(I use one of the 10lbs+ magnets to hold a wire in place on the side of my case ~9in/ 23cm from my HDD). Also had them stick to my laptop on accident near the track pad which did nothing. I wouldn't put them near anything with a magnetic stripe(credit cards for example) since even weak magnets can demagnetize the stripe if exposed for too long.
TL:DR - Short exposure time is fine, just don't stick the magnets to stuff and leave them there. You need significantly strong magnets to do real damage if they're not touching a device directly or through short exposure. Arker_1live spun it like a top on my iPhone screen and it's still perfectly fine. Also left it on 💻 and it's 100% fine .

WbartI'm not concerned with an electronic watch or a computer. Mechanical watches are a different thing. I have had watches get magnetized, which is why I have a watch demagnetizer.
