I am always awed by the universe. The grand scale of it - hundreds of billions of galaxies each with hundreds of billions of suns, all circling each other in the incomprehensibly vast and empty space, that's expanding, rapidly. And while the universe is interesting, and the natural laws governing its behavior are fascinating, and the beauty - so much beauty all around - there's one thing that amazes me even further: Mankind.
Why, why would you ever pay $17(base)+$2(color)+$6(int'l shipping) for this lanyard bead? And not one, not two, NINE different human beings decided that this is a worthwhile transaction, and is good use of their hard earned cash. Fascinating.
