Why do these brands put a 7750 in a clunky christmas tree?
Most people who care about the movement will find this kind of watch too large and visually offensive.
The white version reminds me of my ice monster, but 45mm/17mm for a 30mm/7.9mm movement, seriously? Who on earth is going to take this watch to -500m?
The good point is that this waste of 7750 will be an opportunity for those who can live with its "unusal" look to get a mechanical chrono at a great price.

EwenFRenjoying our discussions...but you might find this amusing...the one i ordered is the white. i agree with your humorous comments on the looks...but i actually like that ugliness. how else would the VW bug have caught on ? i think it's a bizarre, cool looking oddity.

boozedhave to disagree about 'non' sequitur status...i was responding to a claim this watch was ugly...really ugly...the same claim about the VW bug, even to this day. mentioning an historical, huge historical, reference to liking something despite or because it is odd looking or ugly, is a totally apt reference.

EwenFRI was having the same whinge recently. I really want a divers chronograph, but every fricken watch maker wants to build a +42mm case around the 30mm 7750 movement.
39/40mm is my ideal size. Surely it is possible to make a 20bar case with 5mm thick edges?
Do you happen to know of any 40mm or less dive chronos?

TheRealDanielDifficult task, I don't know any, since diver and chrono are two different styles for me.
The real problem is the size, 40mm is already considered as small for a diver or a chrono, getting both with a 7750 movement is not going to be easy, some kind of highly priced unicorn.
Maybe other readers can provide help.
