Picked one of these up elsewhere and was very happy with the quality and simplicity of the build. The go-go-Gadget-deep-carry-clip is -- honestly i can't tell whether it's awesome or daft. It sure is different. I don't mind engraving on the blade but i prefer readable data to big splashy graphics. But this knife is clearly meant to get a little attention. Tekut's other knives are by and large cheaper and made with 7Cr grade steel, which is to say, they are made with nope. But this one has Sandvik - old Sandvik, and people always comment on it because steel is a chance to talk about steel, but I never met a person who could tell 12C27 from 14C28N without asking a lab to test it. The main thing that gets my attention about this knife is that it's crazy light, and yet feels nice and solid. No wobble, no rock. No gaps. With a build this simple about the only thing that could gap is the liner lock, but it's fine.

Made the mistake of carrying it in my back pocket and subsequently sat and bent the clip. Anybody know how to get a replacement clip and repair it?
Thanks
This knife appears to be attempting what the skyline was before they upped the price. Inexpensive knife, sandvick steel, g10, lightweight, single steel liner all for under $30. Sounds great, too bad about the ridiculous graphics on the blade and the annoying clip.
Even with the drawbacks, at this price, it seems a pretty good deal.

At $25 this knife is awesome for the design alone. It weighs next to nothing, has a distinct super-deep carry clip function, comes very sharp and the steel is not bad. I've already used it in the snow to cut synthetic woven crop cover and it sliced just as well as the Kershaw Blur I usually use. The lock up is a little late for my tastes at ~100% but solid. Many consider that perfect lockup. For the price of a case or two of cheap beer, you get a feature rich knife for slicing tasks that is super easy to carry and should last.

After a quick inspection I sold mine. It had a stiff, gritty action on what looks to be brass washers (rather than the standard phosphor bronze), it was too thick behind the edge with a very uneven edge bevel, the blade was off centre and the lock up was late. Based on my example it's a hard knife to recommend, I'd personally prefer to pay ~ twice as much for a Kizer though I guess it's going to depend on your use, expectations and budget but the execution on my example was simply too poor for my taste, even at MD's low price.

JimmyPThought you were describing a Kizer at first.

I got this knife for the looks. I agree with the comments on the blade, and it feels pretty good in my hand (any smaller and it would be too small), but deployment is the worst of all my knives. I have worked it and worked it and it's still too tight to open one-handed. My other knives that started out this way just needed a day to a week or so to be great, but this one is as difficult as ever. I probably just need to get the right tool to loosen it and see if that works, but if I had it to do over again I would get the Scimitar. I know it looks quite different, but still has a similar "feel" when I look at it.

I purchased this a while back on a Massdrop. I like the blade, I like the scales, it feels good in your hand, but the pocket clip is garbage! I thought it would be cool to deep carry and just show the clip, wrong. The knife drops so far down in your pock it is almost impossible to get it out. Sadly I won't even carry it anymore. I wanted a less expensive knife to carry, but it sits in my knife case. Change the clip and it's a great little knife.

Comes with a high quality blade that comes shaving sharp with excellent edge retention. Good lockup and perfectly centred. Steel inner only on the lockup side so the knife is very light for its size. This is going to be a matter of individual taste; very easy to carry, but doesn't feel as substantial as some other knives. G10 scale feels like unpolished bakelite and is responsible for some structural integrity, time will tell how well the new wonder material lasts.
Personally I like the clip design, lets me carry it with only the clip visible, I haven't had a problem with removing it etc. However, the clip is made from a fairly soft metal, and if it snags, can be fairly easily bent.
For this price, I'd really recommend it.

They should have put a few more words on the blade, also used a bigger font for the words.........
Doesn't look like a bad knife, but the excessive branding is a turn off.

I've got the anniversary one, it's really well made, nested liner on the lock bar side, and contrary to some of the other posters here mine is very smooth, it even Spydie flicks easily.
It's a solid work knife, light, modestly sized, well made, and my favorite part, the blade profile bears a striking similarity to the discontinued Benchmade Nagara.

OmniseedSounds good. And you know me, branding is not typically an issue for. This is fugly though.

I got one of these during the last drop and have had some time to play with it. This little knife does so many things right but one big thing it gets very wrong. The G10 is nicely chamfered around the edges for a comfortable fit. The blade has an even grind and came sharp. The Sandvik steel is better than you usually find at this price. The open construction keeps the knife surprisingly light, as does the use of a single liner on the lock bar side. The thumb studs are comfortable and the knife deploys and closes smoothly. Good fit and finish with Torx hardware. The big problem is that damn clip.
I understand what they were going for on the clip; some sort of ultra-deep carry option. The problem is, you can't stop the clip from dropping down into deep pocket mode. The very act of removing the knife from your pocket usually results in it getting pushed further down to a point where it can't easily be removed. I get the feeling this clip was created by someone who thought it would be a neat design feature without ever carrying a knife with the design feature on it. After struggling with it several times, all I wanted was to leave the knife OUT of my pocket and not mess with it again.
I'm going to disassemble this knife when I have time and see if the clip can be fixed in place. If it can't be, the clip renders the knife almost unusable as an EDC option. I'll report back when/if I get a chance to look at it further. This is a ~$20 knife afterall; I need to keep in mind how much time I spend fixing it for my use...
