ToshuThe small waves right before and rigt after the 10k drop wont be noticeable as most humans can only really hear a change of 3 dB. This means that if a static sound changes from 20 dB to 21.5 dB you probably won't notice it so much. Even less if its not a static sound. About thedrop at 10k and 17k, basically means that hight will be lacking. This might not be so bad considering that highs are more easily noticable and sound almost as loud as bass that is twice the dB. But again, this might vary from ear to ear.

ToshuI have the nuforce x massdrop EDC, the original single driver ones and they have a noticable v shape soundstage. When I listen to some songs, like a few early Animal Collective songs where highs right about 8kHz and lows right about 50 Hz are the only sounds and both show up peaking at 80dB the high end always seems to overpower low end. Although the frequency response graph shows both those frequencies to produce the same dB. So for my ears a drop at highs would almost be desirable.

ToshuI would think that a V shaped frequency response curve reflects that the middle frequencies are diminished rather than the highs & lows being augmented. Some devices may have boosted bass, but most high freq curves look similar. Not much music up there above 10k anyway.
