Marketing these with the LOOK of custom IEMs, when they are not custom, seems fraudulent to me. Be aware that these are NOT custom IEMs, these are off the shelf, and will not fit like a custom.

captainHmmmmm. Good advice, I suppose, but there are numerous off-the-shelf IEMs on the market that look like custom IEMs. I think it's more a matter of making products that have a comfortable fit than marketing deception. The first clue that these are not custom IEMs is that they have add-on ear tips. No customs that I know of have removable tips. If someone thinks they are getting custom IEMs for $80, they should probably do some research on the subject.

captainI dont think anyone who would visit a website like this will mistake the P4 Pros as a custom IEM. Comparing the "looks" of this to CIEMs just shows what the optimal fit and comfort of ear phones should be.

captainCIEMs don't use eartips. The silicon eartips in the pictures should've been the biggest giveaway that these are universal IEMs. The shape is what is known as a "custom-type universal". It's as close as you can get to a custom shape while still being a universal fit. Obviously not all ears are the same so YMMV.

rantngSilicon is not silicone, however here's a fun fact for you: silicone polymers contain silicon bonded with oxygen. ;-)
