Other than that, I received a 13ft line instead of a 10.5ft line. I would not mind so much but I just ordered a 13ft line thinking I was getting a 10.5ft line! The rod looks decent, there is a small defect in the finish near the end of the second section but I can live with it. The line spool has a cool vintage appeal, not sure if it will work as well as the foam style but time will tell. I think the packaging of the accessories is smart and enviromentally friendly, glad to see this from an outdoor product company. There is however, a strong petroleum smell from the rod sock which reeks of Chinese manufacturing! It's like that smell when you walk into a Harbor Freight store! LOL All in all, I'm very excited about giving this style fishing a try . This will certainly be easier to pack into the backcountry. I usually pack a 7ft 4-piece 0-weight western fly rod which breaks down to about the same size of the Tenkara, but not carrying a reel with 90ft of flyline will be a nice weight reduction. I hope MassDrop will do right by everyone who did not get everything that was promised, I personally would like to exchange the 13ft line for the promised 10.5ft line and get my 5x tippet spool. On another note, let's all make a resolution to put down our phones, strike up a conversation with a stranger next time you're waiting at a doctors office or at the Metro station and most importantly GET OUTDOORS!
