Just got my pair of Balance 2's. I'm not an audiophile by any means, and the only other decent pair of earbuds I have are a pair of Monster Turbines. These sound much different than the Turbines. Turbines sound more muffled (i.e. not balanced), and the bass on the Balance 2's completely blows the Turbines out of the water. I mean, I thought Turbines were good basshead earbuds, but these are on another level for sure. The sub-bass response is crazy on these, 10hz is more present on these than on my Audioquest Nighthawks. The bass can sound boomy though so if you do not like boomy sub-woofer-like bass you may not like these.
EDIT: Wanted to mention that the fit on these is a bit on the large size. I have small ears and even with the smallest tips they are a bit snug.
Also, the treble rolls off very nicely on these. I personally cannot stand bright headphones/IEMs. Vocals sound fairly natural imo.
