tony123Supposedly 1 year from tfz plus whatever massdrop offers. my pairs left earpiece stopped working and I've yet to hear back from tfz support about it after more than a week and a few emails... Risks of chi-fi...

SciHoboI'm holding off on these after seeing your posts here and in Head-Fi. Until they get back to you, if ever. I'm really tempted to hear something a little more "balanced" versus my IT01. I'm looking for something different yet complimentary. I also dig the green variant of these and still kick myself for not going with the green KZ ZS6 at the time.

rayliam80How would you describe the sound signature of your IT01? I was thinking about buying this, or the IT01.

ajdtI have both and the tfz king pro is smoother and more neutral, the it01 is a little more v shaped and aggressive. Knowing the brands you'd probably think it was reversed... Tfz has better bass extension and imaging. In general I'd say the tfz is slightly better, but it's very close and you'll probably be happy with either.

SciHoboWhat's more comfortable in your opinion? Judging the two aesthetically, seems like IT01 is more comfortable. Literally torn between the two.

ajdtIn general I use the same tips on both since they're virtually the same size nozzle. The tfz king pro are bulkier and heavier and made of better materials. The it01 are smaller and a bit more ergonomic/easier to insert, so I'd give the edge in comfort to them, although it's, again, a slight difference but would be noticeable if you used these during exercise.
If you're torn and money is at all a factor, get the it01 if you have to choose. They have a excellent more common cable (mmcx), they're a bit easier to use, easier to drive, and sound pretty great. In general they're more available so you'd likely get them more quickly too and possibly have better luck if you run into an issue.
But, if you're like me, comfort, convenience, hassle, aesthetics, etcetera can all go to hell. I do believe the king pro sounds a little bit better in a few ways, but that's all subjective anyway, and the it01 beats them in almost all of the practical ways.... And cost.

ajdtTo my ears, the IT01 is slightly v-shaped but in comparison to the rest of my IEM and headphone collection (KZ, Audio-Technica), it seems balanced. YMMV depending on your collection or what you've heard. Vocal presence and clarity is very good and haven't come across any sibilance yet (unless it was on the recording itself). I personally enjoy the amount of bass and I don't find it overwhelming. The treble isn't very fatiguing. With the right tips and fit, you can use these for hours and not get tired of them. The cable is great too and no microphonics at all.
