Got mine today, they have a super weird hollow midrange and the bass bleeds into the lower mids. Not sure what they were aiming for, I might try the TFZ Kings as they seem to be well received.

ripsterarmy99After a bit more experimentation they seem to be tuned specifically for female voiced pop. Bass bleed becomes immediately less noticeable and female voices seem to come to life (compared to male) and it seems to take it's place as a V shaped IEM. Anything else is at your own risk though.

Seriously conflicted, have a pair of Massdrop Noble X on order, but they won't be shipped until end of August. I want something to fill the gap for work (my last pair just bit the dust - TFZ 4 series) which I pair with my Onkyo HA-200 while at my laptop.
Trying to figure if it is worth the month wait or if I should pick up something cheap straight from China which I can have here in a week.
Any thoughts? (btw these are the ChiFi I am thinking of from China.... KZ-SSR, KZ-ZS10, or Yinyoo Revonext QT2)

dbcherWhat do you own already? TBH I've heard the best things about the RN qt2 and am most interested in it since I own the other two. If you used a coupon from the phonographs review you can get it for $36 from Ali.
The zs10 and zsr are good too, but zs10 really needs EQ. Zsr is nice but lacks a bit of detail and is a little soft around the edges.
My guess is that the tfz queen is probably a bit superior to all 3, unless the qt2 is really amazing.

I just bought the TFZ Exclusive 5s. MD just shipped them too, but I want these.
Damn, now I'll have 3 TFZ IEMs including the Series 2s that I already have. What am I supposed to do with 3 sets of IEMs? lel

AsharusBe happy you're only up to three... I've managed to go through a stupid number of KZs before ending up with the LZ A4, Pinnacle P1, Primo8, Campfire Comet, and iSINE 20. AND that's without getting into full size cans.

uniengineI have the TFZ King Pro, and am thoroughly delighted with their sound, although I had a helluva time getting the right eartips for them to work in my ears. Other than the King's higher impedance, I don't see much difference between the two sets' specifications or physical shape. Based on that, I would guess the Kings provide incrementally smoother, more 'natural' sound when properly driven, and the Queens, perhaps, better with portable gear. In either case, I think you'll find the new dual-coil graphene single dynamic driver does not disappoint.

I got the EDC's (just the reg ones) and they lowkey sound shit with foam tips, so im hoping these will make a good replacement.

I absolutely need my android support. I stream pretty much all my music through Deezer or Tidal(not since their latest controversy though). I have a crap load of music I have collected over the years, but generally I dont like to just listen to the same old tracks over and over. iBasso has done some good firmware updates on the DX150, so that's why I was considering it. I know on yt Bad Guy Good Audio Reviews just came out with another video explaining. I wasnt the R6 as well though. I own the Q5 and the Fiio E18, but I think the x7iii is showing too many bugs to drop that kind of money. I'll have to look into the iem options you mentioned, thanks.

The Dorado hits hard. But, the Vega hits VERY hard. Due to their driver type, they actually respond well to amping. The Vega more so due to its diamond driver so do keep that in mind. They're both one of the few IEMs I think sounds well out of a desktop amp. They both have a lot in common but the Vega is def more V-shaped with the sharper treble while the Dorado is more even-keeled (but not neutral by any stretch) and has just a tad lass bass. Really you can't do wrong with either depending on musical taste.

Demo'd this at the authorized retailer in Shenzhen. I brought my King Pros for comparison to get an idea of how the 2 stack up.
The bass is slightly more impactful than King Pro while retaining the same great level of control and clarity. Mids sound warmer and fuller than the King Pro but lack the same clarity and vast soundstage. Highs are warm as expected. Clarity is good but don't expect any of the sparkle found in the King/King Pro.
Build quality is good, the actual look is much more metallic than the cover photo suggests and the screws are bright copper rather than those rusty looking things. The is the same 5N OFC copper cable as the King Pro but the black finish gives it a touch of elegance.
Comfort is good, the housing is reasonably sized with no sharp edges. I used the spinfits from my King Pro but I reckon the stock tips will be sufficient as they're the same ones that come with all TFZ's products.
The TFZ Queen is clearly designed to complement the King in both sound and design. Wish I could've spend more time with it but I feel like TFZ has created a set of flagships that are individually competitive with the some of the best at this price point and go very well together without breaking the bank.

Personally, I don't really listen to a ton of EDM but I'll try to comment based on what I understand of the genre and what others have told me.
I think mids and treble would be the bigger deciding factor. The KP is tuned to be closer to neutral with a slight V shape Highs have a nice sparkle that never gets bright enough to be sibilant or intrusive, mids are slightly recessed but overall detail and separation is very good. If you're like me and your preferred EDM listening profile leans towards fun and engaging, I would recommend the KP. Listening to EDM on these is a constant fast attack of bass with energetic trebles and vocals that are well defined. Female vocals in particular, sound clear and crisp.
However, when I listen to EDM it's usually just one or two tracks between songs. Many people I've talked to who listen to EDM for extended periods of time prefer warmer headphones which are less fatiguing. If you prefer a smooth & powerful bass with fuller mids that more complements the lows rather than cut through with clarity and highs that pleasantly rolls along, I recommend the Queens.
It's hard for me to say which one has better or more subbass extension based on my short session. I'm tempted to say it's the Queens but it might just be because there's a larger quantity of it. Either way, it's close and both should provide satisfying lows for EDM listening unless you are a serious bass head.
