I love my Series 3 IEMs. They sound great with anything I use them with. The one caveat with these (at least for me) is that they can be really loud if you aren't careful. When I use them with my MacBook Pro, I have to adjust the volume on partial steps (option + shift+ volume+/-) between 1 and 3. Otherwise it is too loud. With my Shanling M1, I have to set it to low-gain mode with volumes no higher than 50 or I'll blow my ears out. The weird thing is that they work really well with my iPhone across all volume levels.

I've had the 3S for about a month now and I an extremely happy with them. I think they sound great! I'm not too crazy about the wire, it's seems like it could break easily, over time. I would definitely buy these again, great sound and great value!

I figured the drop wouldn't end for a couple of weeks considering the estimated ship date is 2/9. Is it possible that these will roll out sooner? We have a couple of bigger events coming up soon and i'd like to test these live first.

chrislwellsThese were bought to replace a set of beats as my on-stage IEM. They are awesome. Great presence, great mix, and they stay put. No worries, so worth the price!

How's the 3S compared to the 5S?

Just my own opinion, they were not comfortable for me as around-the-ear headphones/in-ears. The lack of memory wire in the 1 and 3 series (also the same for 5 and 7 I believe) leaves a lot to be desired for extended wear. There's a lot of pulling on the wire when walking while wearing these, even if you use the included behind-the-ear sleeves. Unfortunately there's just no substitute for good memory wire. I purchased them to test against MEElectronics M6 Pros and there's no comparison, both sound quality and extended wear comfort are superior in the M6's, in my opinion.

Do you think they were shipped early to get them out before Christmas?

Just got mine today. Build quality seems decent, and the memory foam ear tips are nice. I also really like the cable.
Unfortunately though it would seem the left IEM is damaged and has an air leak between the driver chambers, it is varey fuzzy sounding and you can hear the air movement when just moving it around in your ear. The right channel sounds good though, its just unusable as is, i just submitted a support ticket so hopefully i get it resolved fast as this is my first massdrop purchase and i plan on making more in the future.
Got mine a few days ago. I realized immediately that they wouldn't actually fit through my phone case (my fault for not researching, but there were no pictures of the 3.5mm adapter...). I listened to them really quickly though out of curiosity, and I must say that they were nice for the price.
However, I would recommend that you buy the 1MORE Single Driver instead. I bought them after I realized these wouldn't work , and they sound just as good, if not better. The killer is that they're only $19.99 with two-day shipping on Amazon... A far better deal! But up to you.
