Nice belts--good price!
Hey is there a silver buckle version. The brass look good but to old for my style.
My Navy belt also came with a Nickel buckle, but I'm happy with that, as I prefer it to brass. My Oxblood was Brass as in the description.
Happy with both.
shooteur
Piggybacking on this to ask if anyone knows if the black belt comes with a brass or nickel buckle. I'd much prefer nickel to brass.
Why did you stop at 42??? I need a 44. Oh well, guess I won't be buying this drop.
Rude.
Land whale? Strapping young lad I’d say.
Belt arrived a couple days ago. Wearing it today. I love that it smells of real leather. Happy with the quality and feel.
I'm a comfortable size 36 waist - approaching size 34 - so I ordered a size 38 black belt with silver buckle, and I am currently wearing it on the third hole. I can even use the forth hole.
Very happy so far, will be interesting to see how the leather wears over time.
Adicus
Did you request to get it with a silver buckle?
The drop shows it only comes with a bronze buckle.
Mr.JC
I guess I didn't . . . my transaction only says -
  • Model Option: Black - 38

  • But looking at the descriptions now, I see it does say Solid Brass Buckle, with actually no option for silver . . . .
Not the correct buckle as described. Recently received it and to my surprise the buckle was silver tone and not the bronze I was expecting. Pretty bumbed out 😕.

Thanks Adicus. Hope MD makes this right and resubmits another order with the company ASAP. Hate to wait months again for this drop to become active just to get the proper belt I thought I was getting initially.
Mr.JC
MD is giving me the option to return the belt without any cost. I'll have to wait for months now for this drop to become active and hope they don't mess it up again.
How well does the oxblood match to most color #8 leathers?
Mine arrived recently and fits as expected, a bit on the smaller side though it works for me. I'm very happy with the leather's quality, width and belt buckle size and can see this being a new daily.
I bought one. Size 36, but as I got slimmer I want a smaller one.
Black one and a brown one.
The quality of the belt is excellent and it smells like a proper leather belt should.
Either the belt stretches or is not made to described fit. I ordered a 40, and 40 is stamped on the belt. However, with a tape measure the is over 42 to middle hole. I need to wear it on the closest hole, and is a tad loose.
The olive one looks brown here but on another site I saw it and it looked more greenish. Which one is it in real life?
Can this be worn as a dress belt?
Nice belt, but the recent dress belt : casual belt ratio on this site is badly out of whack. Is it to avoid competition with the BBC x Massdrop dress belt, I wonder?
Just received my belt today very nice ox blood color. Only issue I have is the sizing is way off. I am a 39” waist they didn’t have 41 so I got the 40”. I wasn’t to worried since leather belts ted to streTh a bit. Needless to say I’m all ready at the last hole when I tried it on And haven’t even wore it Yet.
Description says Full-Grain leather, but the belt picture has a print that says "Genuine Leather."
Can anyone clarify if this is Full-Grain or Genuine?
Thanks

They now stamp " real leather" , as shown from my other BBC belts and belt from another British brand.

But I have no doubt, the bbc belt is high quality full grain.
My 2 cents after owning the belt for about 2 months. It's great for casual and business casual wear, wouldn't say I'd wear for business formal however.
The leather is very supple and doesn't require any break-in period at all. In fact, I was so surprised at how supple it was, that I was worried that the vertical ends of the belt separate (they won't because they're treated). Really comfortable belt and the finish is good, it hasn't stained any pants yet. Would recommend for the casual person!
Also in terms of fit, since the leather is already supple I'm hoping it doesn't stretch anymore which I don't think it will. So it's true to size. I wear a 30 and bought a 32 and use the 3rd hole. Some other BBC belts that I own will require that I use the 2nd or 3rd depending on the toughness of the leather and how bloated I am :P
I see several of your belts on massdrop none in sizes bigger then 42, Im a 46 and would like to but a few of your belts, could you help Please ??
WTH !!no larger the 42!!! so waht do we Gravitationally challenged people do ??!!

Eat less?
MrBean
Naah dont want to :)
FWIW, I have moved away from nickel buckles to brass buckles because brass ages better.
Is it just me, or does the leather look overly crinkly? And the pic of the brown version looks like the leather is dry.

That might just be the pull-up.
These belts look really pretty, and I like British Belt Co. from experience (one of my favorite belts is theirs)- shame there's only a brass buckle option... I am not a dictator... If there was a silver buckle option I'd probably get several!

Silver buckles are usually $300+. Maybe you mean a nickel plated buckle that looks "silver" in which case you are clueless about quality.
johnevans56
Seems like you are dealing with some issues, John.
thickness???
Do these belts work with business pants

Depends how formal your work setting is, but because the texture of the belt is more on the "tumbled" side, it may not for a business formal setting. Business casual sure.

Khakis or jeans, sure. Creased wool dress pants--I wouldn't.
Just received my belt and wow it is fantastic. I've never owned a real leather belt before and I can immediately see and feel the difference. It's so soft and the color is perfect. I should have bought 2.
Me three on wanting a nickel or steel buckle. In the US, brass/gold is very passe.
Hi Zanzix, here in the UK we use genuine leather to mean full grain. The leather used on Bradgate is a full grain veg leather from an Italian tannery called MPG http://www.pellealvegetale.it/en/tanneries/m-p-g-industria-conciaria-tannery/

That makes sense. Thank you for your quick and informative response. Order placed!
The description states that these belts are full-grain leather, while the pictures show belts marked as "Genuine leather". Which grade of leather are these belts made from?
A little confused on sizing. Sizing guide says to order 2 sizes up from pant size. I'm a pant size 34, and this says to order size 36 belt; size 36 belt has 36 in the middle, and 34 as the first hole, so wouldn't I be wearing the belt at the first hole all the time? Wouldn't we want pant size to the middle hole, rather pant size +2 to be the middle hole?
tsong111
Most pants are vanity sized, meaning that the waist is larger than the number indicates. Anyway, it's always recommended to get a belt one size up from pant size this isn't specific to British Belt Co.
Ugh, brass buckle.
Why do half the belt drops not have size 30?
eliongater
Please allow me to explain. We do not offer size 30 in our British Belt Co inventory. However, when we make custom / exclusive items for Massdrop, we do offer size 30. Massdrop has many customers that buy size 30 belt. hope this makes sense. Cheers !
