Received my order (a gift for my father-in-law), a wallet in cordovan with burgundy color. Quality is good. Leather is quite thin (a plus imo). I also ordered the comparable Ashland Johny the Fox in shell cordovan (for myself), which is on it's way, so I'll be able to compare the two directly. At this point, the quality of the BBC wallet is good enough for me to plan on ordering another one when the next massdrop opportunity arises.

SanDiegoDropI received the Ashland Johnny the Fox in natural cordovan. In terms of construction and quality, the two are quite comparable (I like the BBC construction just very very slightly better, it looks better finished), and both were worth the money. The Horween cordovan has the reputation, but the British cordovan isn't far behind. The Ashland wallet does happen to have a big fat "Genuine Horween Cordovan" stamp on the inside portion of the cash compartment -- which no one else but me will ever see -- wow it looks nice (I understand that whether you get the stamp or not is really just a matter of luck). Overall, I really like both the British Belt Co wallet and the Ashland wallets about the same. I would buy both again, but how many wallets does a person really need or use? I don't foresee myself needing another one for quite a while.
