I'm just wondering what pewter does to the tase of good booze; imparts a metallic flavor or makes no difference to the flavor?

What a beautiful flask. Almost makes me bummed that I joined the Keith Titanium Ti9306 drop.

I wish I could get a cool leather cover like this for the Keith titanium flask.

It would be cooler if the flask was silver, pewter looks cool but is kinda gross and the 24 hour thing is honestly a deal breaker.

McDoogleBoth pewter and silver are soft metals, meaning it's easy to dent these flasks. A silver flask would be 5x to 10x more expensive, I just can't see it getting traction on a site like this.

For anyone interested - I can vouch for the fact that you can’t leave alcohol in a pewter flask for more than 24 hrs. I left Patron Cafe XO in a pewter flask and it ate a hole straight through it (Granted Cafe XO is pretty strong stuff). I sent it to a pewter artisan and he fixed it up like new. I love the look and feel of pewter, but if you want to leave your booze in a flask and forget about it, choose stainless, titanium, or plastic. Otherwise, fill-er up just before you head out. :)

Yes it will squish if you sit on it. However such flasks were designed to carry in a chest coat pocket, so only a little bit of deformation should occur over the years of its use. That being said, titanium will probably never squish, and will weigh a lot less.

Pewter and silver are the only two metals I've heard of that do not greatly affect taste.

Can't wash in the dishwasher with detergent...
Does this mean I couldn't fill it with 4oz of Tide pods?

The big question is whether the leather is also made in England or made in China by clubbing to death dogs and using their skins as fake leather?
I assure you, it is not dog. We specify, "European" cowhide because in Europe we do not use barbed wire fence which scars the hides.
That's where they get "vegan leather". From real free range vegans. They specify if it's European because Europeans have fewer stretch marks because they are slimmer on average.
