Having worked in quilt shops I can tell you that by the time fabric is marked down to $5 a yard, the bulk of the collection has sold out and it's usually fabric everyone is tired of looking at, so they don't find it inspiring. The other commenters are correct about FQ pricing. This is a good deal for anyone looking to build their stash without spending a lot of money.
