By internationally acclaimed photographer Al Satterwhite, The Cozumel Diary chronicles a week in the life of Hunter S. Thompson. In 1974, Satterwhite traveled to Mexico to photograph Thompson for an interview in Playboy magazine—and this book recounts the misadventures of that memorable assignment. It features more than 40 never-before-released images, along with a foreword by Craig Vetter, a 10,000-word essay by the photographer, and an afterword by biographer William McKeen. Funded on Kickstarter and published in a limited run, the project captures a wild ride with the king of gonzo journalism.
