Just curious which one will spin longer?! I heard the heavier top usually will spin longer than others??

WayneTDepend on what kind of brass. I would say usually copper > brass > Beryllium copper in terms of density. Ref: http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/metal-alloys-densities-d_50.html

WayneTThe length of time a top spins depends on it's angular momentum vs friction. Therefore, the longest spinning tops have low friction at the point, and high angular momentum. Angular momentum is dependent on the weight of the material, and the distance from the axis that material is. All other things equal, a 1 oz top at 100 rpm with the weight out at the edges will spin longer than a 1 oz top at 100 rpm where the material is tucked closer to the center axis.
