I noticed in previous comments asking this question, but didn't see many responses. What sets this wallet apart from the Elephant Wallet? I'm looking at the carbon fiber version and for that material, the Ridge Wallet is more than double the price of the Elephant Wallet. The appear to be similar in design. Although, it does seem that the Elephant Wallet is a little more simple in that it's just the front and back wallet pieces being kept together with a silicon or rubber fabric band. The Ridge Wallet looks to be a little more "complex" with how it's designed, but ultimately the final products look pretty similar. Trying to understand if Ridge's design really sets them apart from a functional perspective (and thus worth the extra $$), since the aesthetics are very close?

DenverMojoJust my opinion, but the Ridge looks cleaner and nicer since the front doesn't have elastic going across it. Also, three of the sides are contained with the Ridge, while the Elephant seems to only have two sides holding the cards. The elastic in the Ridge's design is more hidden.
The Elephant wallet seems to have some good accessories for keys and such, and more options. The Elephant certainly offers more colorways. Personally, I prefer the simple clean look of the Ridge.

hobbes8Yeah, that's kind of how I am seeing it, too. Just trying to figure out if the design differences are worth the difference in price. I currently use a Spine wallet, which is like the Elephant wallet, but with only one titanium "side". I actually love it and it doesn't break the bank. I've had my eye on a Ridge wallet, but having a hard time justifying the price to myself.

DenverMojoI actually ordered one of the Elephant Wallet gift sets for a friend of mine after seeing EW mentioned here. He liked the way the carbon fiber Ridge looked, so I chose the carbon fiber Elephant wallet. I like the fact that Elephant Wallet offers different styles and many more color/material options than Ridge, plus you can choose the silicone band if you don't like the elastic one, but I will say there was a noticeable difference in overall quality and fit/finish. I'm sure the EW will hold up fine structurally, but it didn't have that same premium feel. At least in the sample that I received. That probably accounts for some of the price difference.

LateralusThank you! That's the feedback I was looking for. I'd been scouring the web trying to see if anyone had done a direct comparison of the two, but haven't found that. I suspected the fit and finish of the Ridge might be superior, but wanted to actually hear that observation from someone.
