Mechanical Keyboard Sound Isn't That Simple

Looking back just a few years ago, there’s no doubt that the huge influx of people that joined the hobby at the peak of the COVID pandemic were drawn to keyboards by way of YouTube, TikTok, and other audio-visual content platforms. Even as the output from these content creators has waned in recent months, their collective impact and legacy on the keyboard hobby is rather firmly etched in the history books. As a result of all of their sound tests, build logs, and opinion videos, the message is clear to any new person joining the hobby: mechanical keyboards are all about the sound. 1) When I turn on my computer with the keyboard plugged in, the LEDs do not come on and the keyboard does not work at all. I have to manually unplug and plug in the USB again for it to work. Similarly, when I shut down the computer the LEDs do not turn off and I have to manually unplug the USB again. Does the keyboard need some special driver or anything? I've got 2 Topre keyboards, a Corsair K70 RGB, a Filco Majestouch, and a Ducky Shine 4 and I've never had this issue before. My keyboard came pre-assembled and I'm on Windows 10 Professional 64-bit. This is really annoying to say the least...
2) My keyboard arrived with a few dents and a mark along the edges of the plate. I contacted Masssdrop a few days ago and have not heard back at all. Is their customer support non-existant?
