Do I Need to Lube My Keyboard Switches?

ALT V2 not detected with Drop Keyboard Configurator
Hi, This is my first non-mac keyboard. I was under the impression that this would work out of box with with mac desktop however I am having issues getting the ALT V2 detected with the keyboard configurator software. The keyboard is plugged in and powered on. Apologies if this is very basic or if I have used incorrect language describing my issue, I don't have experience with this. Thank you

I bought the Truefox Assembled w/ MX Browns.
1. I've typed on MX Browns for years. I have 3 other boards with Browns and they literally all feel damn near the same. THIS board, however, feels awful. There is this almost grindy or sandy feeling when they are pressed - it kinda feels like metal scraping or something. The worst part is though... they aren't even all consistently bad either. Some are worse than others and some just outright feel like some random switch I've never used before in my life. They ALL feel cheap and bad, though.
2. Sticking and stiff keys. Some of my keys feel like they are getting caught on something. Some will work fine for a bit then suddenly start sticking and clicking weird. It really makes no sense....
3. A few of my keys aren't even lined up properly. There is an odd amount of space between the U and Y keys (it kinda looks like Michael Strahan's teeth... literally). The T and Y keys touch, as do the U and I. The spacing along the entire bottom two rows looks like a drunk made this. None of them are equal and it makes an otherwise gorgeous board look shoddy and cheap.
4. My Enter key was crooked when I got it and felt kinda loose. I popped off the keys around it to take a look (in fear of damaging it) and wouldn't you know it... the stabilizer is broken. Part of the white piece that feeds into the case is chipped off. So I took the key off and removed the stabilizer. So now my enter key feels like absolute garbage unless I hit it perfectly dead center and press it straight down. I know I can buy another stabilizer but come on...
5. No FN keycap?! What?? Did anybody else get an FN keycap? I happen to use function keys quite a bit. Furthermore, I didn't see the option to even program a key as FN in their configurator.
6. The spacebar registers with just a slight breeze... and sometimes registers twice. I cannot believe how short the travel distance is on the spacebar before it registers. I thought I was crazy so I went back to my other 3 boards with Browns to make sure. I'm not crazy... these keys are a billion times different, especially this overly sensitive spacebar.
Seriously... I wanted this board so damn bad. I missed the first drop and dreaded every day afterwards. I nearly soiled myself when this dropped again. I considered even buying 2 because I was so in love with the keyboard. Well.... as I said above, this has been a massive letdown. I just don't understand how a board this expensive can be such trash. How are these MX Browns so infinitely different than every other MX Brown I've used?
Ugh. Sorry for venting, I'm just really disappointed.
On the configurator the FN keys are labeled LGUI and RGUI.
- Even after inserting the black damping material, the keyboard is noticeably louder and more resonant than the Leopold. - I too am encountering key sticking issues and presses not registering. I'll probably do a complete tear down and lube and see if I can get the issue to go away. - (personal preference) The angle of the keyboard is not as flexible as the Leopold in that the feet can only be installed/removed by disassembling the upper plate of the keyboard.
What's really good
- I love the font on the keyboard and the options for the different key layouts. - The customization of different layers and easy flashing software (once I figured out that you need to unzip and only install the bin file that is) was cake. - The overall fit and finish of the case is really good.
Why I'm sticking with the Leopold for now
- Much (much) quieter typing. Both are Cherry Browns so this is clearly a case issue. - Better keyboard angle for me. - Key sticking issues (which presumably I can clear out with some maintenance work, but having to do that on a keyboard that cost me two and a quarter bills seems wrong.
