For the current drop, wouldn't buy it. Looks like a better deal than it is since they "base" price is the small.
I own this. Unreal comfort and warm for the weight. Only real complaints:
- Takes a bit to inflate, but I have a large. It takes about 30 breaths. I believe a regular is supposed to take about 20 breaths. - It's super "crinkly" right out of the box, although that gets better with more use. - Edges are prone to collapse. - Wish they made a regular wide. I have about 4" excess material lengthwise, but need every bit I can get laterally (broad shoulders).
In total, would buy another one and happy with the purchase. It's a winner on just about every "Top backpacking sleeping pad" for a reason.

dchu101Yes, a regular wide would be fantastic. As it is I'm either carrying the extra weight or taking scissors and an iron to my $150 pad to shorten it up and hope I don't destroy it. That's just a modification risk I'm not willing to take.

alfredo99It's really easy to shorten these pads. Almost any pad really. Decide how much excess you want to remove, add back an inch for resealing, cut on dotted line. Make sure any wayward insulation is tucked in clear of new seal line. Reseal with iron. The only hard 1 is your 1st. You just have to realize you aren't destroying it.

dchu101@dchu101 Inflation time is never a complaint from me: I use an original Therm-a-rest electrical inflation fan. It weighs almost nothing with rechargeable batteries (less than any inflation bag), works well, on a single batteries charge I can use it for up to 10 times (means 10 inflation), saves a lot of time and breath. Strongly recommend.
